Local Camping Opportunities in the Laurel Highlands

Table of Contents

Looking for somewhere to stay near Sterling RV Services LLC for RV repair in western Pennsylvania? Welcome to the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, a true 4-season destination! I don’t recommend visiting in November, March, or early April (winter hangs on a bit too long here), but the rest of the year, it’s an outdoor paradise!

At Sterling RV Service, we’re happy to offer the best RV repair in Somerset, Pennsylvania, and the best RV repair service in the surrounding areas of Rockwood, Seven Springs, Johnstown, Ohiopyle, Uniontown, Farmington, Connellsville, Confluence, Donegal, Mt. Pleasant, and Bedford Pennsylvania

Plus, we offer RV repair to our southern neighbors in Deep Creek, Grantsville, Friendsville, Frostburg, and Cumberland Maryland; and RV mobile service to our western neighbors in Morgantown and Bruceton Mills, West Virginia!

What Is There to See and Do in the Laurel Highlands?

Nature’s crown jewels of the Laurel Highlands are Ohiopyle State Park, Youghiogheny Lake, and Seven Springs Ski and Mountain Resort. We also have lots of picturesque covered bridges, quirky shopping, maple syrup, and local cheeses!

Outside of the Laurel Highlands you might like exploring:

  • Deep Creek, Maryland
  • Cumberland C&O Canal, Maryland
  • Raystown Lake Region, Pennsylvania
  • Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Canaan Valley, West Virginia
  • Cooper’s Rock and Cheat Lake, West Virginia

We have some of the best whitewater kayaking in the country, the best fall color in the mid-Atlantic, and some of the best trout fishing in the state. Explore American history at the Fort Necessity National Battlefield. Take the Covered Bridge tour and sample the best maple syrup south of Vermont. Oh, and you can’t miss Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece, Fallingwater.

(And in case you’re wondering, yes, all of these wonderful areas are within our regular service area!)
